Much of the MINI appeal is rooted in its diminutive size and superior handling. However we occasionally see a vehicle that breaks the MINI mold and strays from the MINI blueprint, attracting audiences by re-imagining what it means to be “MINI.” This MINI limousine is one of those vehicles.
This 27-foot long, stretch limousine is owned by Kamran Akran, owner of Krystal Limousine in Coventry, England. Akran became privy to a Las Vegas custom shop and sent a MINI Cooper S stateside for a drastic redesign. The garage in Vegas split the Cooper in half and added 16 feet to the middle of the vehicle, along with an additional set of wheels. Keeping true to the classic limousine luxury that customers look for, the interior of the MINI was outfitted leather seats, a champagne fridge and posh nightclub-inspired trimmings.
The stretch MINI cost Akran $104,000, but the steep cost has proven to be well worth it with customers requesting the unique ride for special occasions. “The MINI is a British classic - it is recognized around the world. Now we have the longest one on the planet.”
