Writers from the blog Carscoop located in Munich, Germany were able to snap some photos of what they believe to be a early MINI Paceman John Cooper Works test car!
The first hint was the trademark red and black paint job customary to JCW vehicles. However, a closer look at the photographs revealed large twin exhaust pipes, a rear bumper diffuser and pronounced exterior body work. A small decal on the rear of the vehicle which read “Werkstestwagen” (German for “Factory Test Car”) seemed to confirm suspicions.
The Paceman JCW will come with the same 208 hp, 192 lb-ft torque turbocharged four cylinder found in the rest of the lineup as well as the ALL4 all-wheel-drive system. Nothing new to be engineered here, so it’s no surprise that we’re seeing the BMW Group testing a Paceman JCW so early.
