This year’s Goodwood Revival event will be held September 11-13 at Goodwood Motor Circuit on the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex, in the South of England. This year’s Revival will feature at least seven entries of vintage pre-1966 Mini Coopers, based on my quick perusal of the entry list.
At least one of those Minis will be driven by 20+ year veteran of Mini Cooper racing, Nick Swift of Swiftune Racing.
Goodwood Estate is widely known for it’s motor racing through its famous Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival. Revival is an attempt to recreate the feel of the historic racing that originally took place on Goodwood from its inception in 1948 to when it closed up shop in 1966.
Goodwood revival is perhaps the world's most well-known vintage car racing event, and, according to Goodwood, ”the only event of its kind to be staged in the romantic time capsule of the Fifties and Sixties.”
Mini Coopers have always been a staple at Goodwood, with many of them appearting on the circuit in its heyday.
Goodwood 2015 doesn't start for a couple of days, so for now you will just have to soak this in:
