As part of that move, we will not be processing or shipping orders from the West Coast facility for a couple days while we complete the move.
We WILL be processing and shipping orders from our East Coast facility during this time.
All rumors aside, it appears that the MINI Superleggera (Superlight) convertible concept, first shown almost two years ago, is not likely to ever go into production, though there may yet be a sedan version.

First, Manhart takes the standard MINI John Cooper Works engine and gives it a full remap. The power output of the B48 2.0 liter turbocharged engine goes from 231 horsepower in standard form, to 300hp in the MINI JCW by Manhart.
MINI parent company BMW has won some significant design awards for 2016 for its MINI product line. In the iF design award 2016, the MINI AR Glasses won an award in the “Product” category. The data glasses won the “gold” level award, the highest hallmark of quality. The iF gold awards were presented on February 26 2016, in a ceremony attended by over 1,500 guests as part of the prestigious iF design awards night at BMW Welt in Munich, Germany.
MINI’s John Cooper Works Racing Team, operated by LAP MotorSports LLC out of Indianapolis, are off to the races for the 2016 season of the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge (CTSCC).
In what is the first full IMSA season for them, the team recently announced the addition of a third car and three new drivers –Mark Pombo Ethan Lowe and James Vance, along with veterans Derek Jones, Mat Pombo and Ramin Abdolvahabi. The team took their first podium at last year’s season finale, at Road Atlanta, and is hopeful for more podium finishes for 2016.
As a follow on to the Super Bowl commercial and #DefyLabels marketing campaign, MINI USA has launched a contest to locate four individuals who best exemplify the MINI brand values of individuality, resiliency, authenticity, and courage. According to MINI USA, the contest celebrates “Americans in local communities who define themselves."
In January, MINI made its first appearance at the 2016 Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions in Scottsdale, AZ. The MINI display featured the full model range of current MINI vehicles, including the new MINI Clubman and MINI Convertible. A vintage MINI Clubman from the 1960s was also a highlight of the display.
Engineer, Mad Scientist, inventor, and YouTube personality, James Hobson, also known as The Hacksmith, has created a human exoskeleton that enables him to curl 275 pounds. He also has now developed a lower body exoskeleton that enables him to lift a car clear off the ground.

Los Angeles-based Artists David Connelly & Zoey Taylor, collectively known as Dosshaus, are known for their 3D creations made out of nothing but paint, glue and cardboard. They have created their world from cardboard, including a replica of an early Mini Cooper.
