We’re only a few months removed from the 2015 Countryman’s debut at the New York Auto Show, but that hasn’t stopped MINI from getting a head start on the vehicle’s replacement.
The 2015 model year is really just a stop-gap year for the Countryman as MINI prepares to unveil an all-new redesigned model for 2016. Changes to the 2015 were minor, described as more of a facelift than a redesign. The next generation MINI Countryman is said to have a longer wheel-base, new head lamps, a brand-new fascia and a new rear end. The spy shots here offer a glimpse of what can be expected, though the customary camouflage disguise does a good job at distorting the vehicle’s appearance.
