Over 1,300 people and 500 Mini’s of all ages, stripes and colors descended upon the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on August 2.
They came from far and wide, all waiting for a chance to share and show off, drive, chat and marvel at the dizzying number of MINIs arriving for the “Mini Takes The States 2008 Los Angeles Festival.”
Some of these folks were still on a road rally that started in Miami and toured through Boston and Chicago and all places in between before making the jaunt over the Rockies and into L.A. A distance of about 8,000 miles, but who’s counting?
One interesting side note: according to Jim McDowell, managing director of Mini USA, people spend an average of $4,000-$5,000 customizing their MINIs. Hard to imagine…but easy to believe.
