MINI collectors take note. Our favorite pint-sized auto has announced plans for another set of special edition MINI vehicles: the MINI Hyde Park and MINI Green Park editions.
The Hyde Park and Green Park editions will both be available in Clubman or Cooper variations, and will feature their own unique styling which MINI describes as, “unobtrusive extravagance.” The MINI Hyde Park features a Pepper White exterior paint color, highlighted by racing stripes and side pinstripes in a rich, contrasting shade of brown named “Hot Chocolate.” The MINI Green Park uses the same Pepper White coloring, but chooses British Racing Green as its accent shade.
The interior of both vehicles is similar, with Pepper White adorning the vehicles trim and panels. Seats have the option of a cloth leather combination or in Leather Gravity with Carbon Black and Polar Beige accents. The special edition dashboards will also feature Polar Beige leather accents.
The MINI Hyde Park and MINI Green Park carry on a tradition of naming special edition vehicles after popular locations in England. Previous special edition models include the “Baker Street,” “Bayswater,” and “Highgate” editions – each differentiated by their unique color and trim.
Hyde Park and Green Park MINIs will be available in the U.S. with the standard 121-hp four-cylinder or the 181-hp turbocharged engine of theCooper S. A six-speed manual transmission comes standard, with a six-speed automatic also available. Both the Hyde Park and Green Park will go on sale July 2013. Price yet to be determined.
