MINI loves rolling out new, limited edition versions of their iconic MINI Cooper Hatchback. It seems completely sensible that MINI would extend this fun to other vehicles in the lineup, which is exactly what they will do this spring with the MINI Cooper Convertible Highgate.
Named after an upscale London suburb, the Highgate follows in the example set by the MINI Baker Street and Bayswater editions, two models created in honor of the 2012 Olympics in London that also share their names with popular London locales. The MINI Cooper Convertible Highgate trim package makes its impression with eye-catching cosmetic upgrades sure to dazzle fans of the original drop top MINI.
The Highgate’s exterior features its own Iced Chocolate Metallic paint, offset by two brown and black hood stripes and a brown soft top. As to be expected, MINI has added two small Highgate badges to the vehicle’s front fenders and new seventeen-inch Double Cross wheels to finish the new look.
On the inside, Dark Truffle leather seats with light blue piping provide the perfect complement to the vehicle’s paint job. The rest of the Highgate’s interior stays true to the high-class character of the suburb it was named after – brushed allow trim pieces, stainless steel pedals and Highgate logos on the floor mats all contribute to a feeling of quality.
The MINI Cooper Convertible Highgate package will only be available for a limited time. Adding the Highgate trim package to the MINI Cooper Convertible will cost $2,750; adding it to a Cooper S will cost $2,500. The Highgate package will be available globally this spring.
