Four MINI models will see adjusted fuel economy ratings after the EPA called for extensive retesting on portions of the vehicle lineup. The revised MPG ratings will provide consumers with a more accurate sense of their vehicle’s fuel efficiency and performance.
The MINI models that were retested include the 2014 MINI Cooper Hatchback (manual and automatic transmissions) and the 2014 MINI Cooper S Hatchback (manual and automatic transmissions). MINI drivers may be disappointed to learn that their vehicle’s fuel economy rating was actually downgraded from its previous factory issued estimate. Fortunately, the adjustments were minor and affected each model’s combined fuel efficiency by only 1 MPG.
