Known the world-over for their performance oil and air filters, K&N now
offers the revolutionary Typhoon air intake system for the MINI Cooper S.
The Typhoon® Short Ram intake system virtually eliminates inlet restrictions,
ensuring an abundant supply of cool air to the supercharger. Dyno tests have
shown up to an 8hp increase at the drive wheels on some test vehicles, a healthy
7% increase in power with no other changes.
Superior craftsmanship, design, and the renown K&N quality conical filter
make this a great upgrade from the Mini's restrictive stock air box and panel
filter.
Included in the kit is a replacement polished aluminum tube that integrates
the filter to the throttle body, adding a distinctive flair to the engine bay
and providing smoother air flow into the throttle body. The secondary tube
forces cool air from behind the grill into the filter area. Installs in about
20-30 minutes using standard tools. Fits MINI Cooper S only. Instructions
included.
