A photographer in Germany caught this camouflaged MINI Cooper S on the street. But what's happening on the inside?

LED lights in the rear, new air scoop in the front… yeah, yeah. The MINI image has become too internationally iconic to mess much with the profile. What we really want to know is what are they planning for the interior? MINIs have often been maligned for their toy-like facia and dash components so that is likely to be the target for some more significant changes to the new model, especially as it faces new competition from Audi, Citroen, Lincoln and Fiat, among others.
Expect the new model to appear as a 2012 perhaps as early as next year. The second generation MINI was released in 2007, following the 6-year run of the first generation.
