Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport is rallying behind this tricked-out version of a MINI Cooper E…
MINI Tuning specialist AC Schnitzer, based in Aachen, Germany, has really outdone itself this time by kitting out an emission-free police car concept. It’s all part of the 'Tune It Safe' campaign sponsored by the Verband Deutscher Automobil Tuner e.V. – or VDAT – as the organization is more commonly called. Every year since 2004 the group has challenged tuners to combine exotic tuning ideas and maximum safety standards – two ideas that don’t always go hand-in-hand – and this unique result was championed at the Essen Motor show earlier this year.
This version features a racing suspension system, new front and rear skirts and a re-designed hood, a Hella signaling system, a custom blue paint job, 18” rims and upgraded brakes to handle the 204HP output from the car’s electric motor.
It’s nice to know you can be safe, emission-free and bad-boy stylish all at the same time.
