Six different audio options, navigation, phone and customized driver information make MINI a rolling mission control center.
Gawkers at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show will get a new MINI experience with MINI Connected and Mission Control. The first is a system that lets you connect your iPhone with a USB interface which allows for “a huge range of infotainment, navigation and communication functions to be used on board the vehicle” the company says.
For starters, drivers can have six – count ‘em – audio options: AM/FM radio, CD, satellite radio, HD radio, MP3 player and Web radio. And, with Mission Control, drivers can actually customize what information they’d like displayed on their center console based on their driving conditions.
It’s the next generation of driver information; a far cry from the standard GPS/radio/cd systems found in most new cars today. And you thought MINIs were just for driving…
