There’s something about the MINI that draws the artist out of us. And, in the case of the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art Car Parade, that sentiment is taken quite literally…
The Houston Art Car Klub (sic), Momentum Motor Cars of Houston and the Art Car Parade partnered up recently, pairing artists with their MINI Canvasses to create rolling works of art.
If you’ve been paying attention, you’ve seen this sort of thing before on these very pages, where those crazy Europeans do this sort of thing seemingly on a routine basis. This inspired Stephanie O’Keefe of Momentum BMW-MINI of Houston to do something similar. Being American, however, she has a sales angle. Her aim is to pair MINI buyers with local artists who would be commissioned to deck out their new MINI.
Darned clever, that.
