This is amazing: Dirty Window Artist, Scott Wade, eschews the standard dirty window ploy of writing “Wash Me!” for a much more refined message, as seen here on the back of this MINI.
Scott Wade is an artist who also happens to live down a mile and a half stretch of dirt road the locals call “caliche”; a blend of limestone dust, gravel and clay. Driving over the surface, he says, “results in a fine, white dust that billows up behind any vehicle driven faster than a galloping turtle, coating the rear window.”
So, like any true artist taking inspiration from his surroundings, he applied finger to window “canvas” - and sometimes even a chewed popsicle stick – to create some truly amazing works of art.
"These images drawn in the dust are obviously quite impermanent. One of the cool things about them is how they change over time. More dust accumulates as the car is driven down the road. Early morning dew streaks and dots the image, creating a patina. A light shower creates a deeper patina," Wade says.
Cool. Almost as cool as seeing a galloping turtle.
