There’s something about a MINI that draws creative types to select the car as their canvas for creative projects. It’s no secret that MINI fans enjoy all of the different artistic creation bestowed on their beloved cars, and we don’t imagine this edition will be any different. This latest MINI artwork comes from Franca Sozzani, chief editor of Italian Vogue in honor of the 20th Life Ball in Vienna to support the AIDS LIFE organization.
Sozzani chose the new, supremely stylish, MINI Roadster S for her creation. The car features a Deeper Purple paint job with yellow sporting stripes that feature an elaborate floral design. The purple-hued floral design also appears on the vehicle’s interior, giving the Roadster a very distinct look. Sozzani is a huge MINI fan - herself an owner of the iconic vehicle - which added to her enthusiasm when approaching the Life Ball project:
“The concept behind the MINI customization is inspired by the beautiful and elegant women who in the past used to wear a scarf draped around their head when driving a convertible”
The MINI Roadster was auctioned off at the AIDS Solidarity Gala raising a total of 54,000 Euro for future HIV projects and research. Since 2001, MINI has partnered with the Life Ball and AIDS research organizations, offering sponsorships and donations.
