MINI has collaborated with fellow BMW subsidiary Rolls Royce to produce what promises to be the most lavish MINI model to date: The MINI Inspired by Goodwood.
Named after Rolls Royce’s home in Goodwood, England, The MINI Inspired by Goodwood partners MINI’s trademark driving fun with the refinement and luxury of Rolls Royce. It seems that no detail was left unaddressed when designing the interior of the newest special edition MINI. Leather adorns nearly every inch of the cabin, with Walnut Burr wood trim adding regal accents to the Goodwood’s cabin. The gauges in the MINI Inspired by Goodwood have also received a Rolls Royce facelift.
The MINI Inspired by Goodwood will come standard with parking distance control, xenon headlights and a Harmon Kardon audio system. The special edition MINI will be offered in Rolls Royce’s Diamond Black, and sit atop 17-inch multi-spoke wheels. The exterior is nearly identical to current Cooper S models, although the Goodwood features “MINI Inspired by Goodwood” badges and does not include a front hood scoop. The MINI Inspired by Goodwood will use the current 181-hp turbocharged Cooper S engine.
Thinking that this may be the car for you? You better act fast. There will be only 1,000 MINI Inspired by Goodwood models made for 2012. What’s more, early rumors have this luxurious MINI retailing around $80,000.
The MINI Inspired by Goodwood will debut at the upcoming Auto Shanghai 2011.
