It goes on the auction block this week, but you better have a lot of cash on hand!
Peter Sellers' 1963 Radford Mini Cooper is becoming available at auction this week, and estimates for what it will go for are in the £35k-£40k range.
Others think it will go even higher. After all, this specially commissioned wicker-sided conversion with its posh interior are said to have cost more than a Rolls Silver Cloud at the time, which is hard to imagine but, well you know... actors. Peter used this for tooling around the South of France while he was filming A Shot In The Dark as none other than the great Inspector Jacques Clouseau.
Making it perhaps even more of a collector's piece is the fact that Sellers eventually gave it to his friend and Pink Panther director Blake Edwards.
Bidders will find it in perfect original condition, complete with a stack of paperwork and photos of Sellers with the car.
A far cry from his character's "Green Hornet", this one-off original would make anyone feel like a Chief Inspector.
