MINI will be announcing an additional product debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, a John Cooper Works Tuning Kit available for MINI Cooper S, MINI Cooper S Clubman and MINI Cooper S Convertibles.

John Cooper Works tuning kit

MINI’s John Cooper Works factory tuning kit features a reprogrammed engine control unit and a new air filter system designed to maximize performance. The kit will increase vehicle horsepower to 200-hp and torque to 186 ft-lbs. This enhanced power output is said to produce an improved 0-62 mph time of 6.8 seconds and a new top speed of 145 mph. Not satisfied? The John Cooper Works kit also provides an overboost function that bumps torque output to 199 ft-lbs insuring that the kit’s performance upgrades are felt when the accelerator is punched.

For the true enthusiasts, the John Cooper Works Tuning Kit will offer a set of optional accessories including a new muffler with stainless steel exhaust tips and 18” Cross Spoke Red Strip wheels.
