Some people like to upgrade their interiors, sure, but when you ask Rolls-Royce to get involved, you're really getting serious!
MINI is taking the term "special edition" to all new heights as it is inviting its uber-lux cousin, Rolls-Royce, along for the ride.
As you know, both British automakers are owned by Germany's BMW, so it's only fitting that Rolls-Royce lend a hand in outfitting the MINI with all sorts of special high-end interior trim and other luxury touches that one would guess MINI designers could not even imagine.
The special edition cars will go into production in 2010 as 2011 model year cars. It has not been decided yet whether the cars will be available in the United States, but if they are they'll be in extremely limited numbers, said MINI spokeswoman Nathalie Bauters.
"It's going to be for MINI fanatics and those who want something really special from MINI," she said.
The cars' bodies will be no different from those of other MINI Coopers, but they will be coated in a special paint, the color of which has also not been decided, Bauters said. Sounds like a lot of things haven't yet been decided, but the anticipation is killing us!
