A heavily customized MINI Countryman variant with over 900 horsepower will compete in this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Pikes Peak, Colorado.
For those unfamiliar with the race, the Pikes Peak Hill Climb is an arduous mountain course that is designed to test the mettle of highly customized rally-type vehicles and the expert drivers who command the wheel. Participation in this is not out of character for MINI, which places independently sponsored vehicles in the Dakar Rally and Andros Trophy race. This particular vehicle is sponsored by a dealership in Toulouse, France and will be driven by French driver Jean-Philippe Dayraut. The vehicle itself features 912 horsepower and countless other modifications to prepare it for this epic racing event.
The Pikes Peak Hill Climb is 12.42 miles long and will take place at the end of June in Colorado.
