MINI ALL4 Racing has done it again. The results of the 2015 Dakar Ralley is over with Qatar Rally team driver Nasser Al-Attiyah and his co-driver Matthieu Baumel (France) taking first place overall. That makes four years in a row that MINI and X-Raid have taken the Dakar title.
Al-Attiyah and Baumel finished Dakar 2015 with an overall time 35 minutes ahead of second place Toyota driver Giniel de Villiers. 3rd place was also taken by a MINI ALL4 Racing, driven by Polish racer Krzysztof Ho?owczyc, coming in 1 hour and 32 minutes behind Al-Attiyah.
Last year's defending champion, Spaniard Nani Roma, also driving an X-Raid MINI, had some bad luck with an oil pump malfunction during one of the early stages. His hopes were fully dashed after rolling his vehicle multiple times during stage 10 about four days before the end of the race.
