MINI continues to craft fun and creative marketing promotions for their new lineup of cars. The latest development? The MINI Wanderlust Campaign.
The Wanderlust initiative asks people to imagine an ideal trip or adventure anywhere in the world, and to submit their ideas to MINI’s interactive Wanderlust map. The map allows viewers to view and vote on the submitted event ideas around the world, and vote for those they like the best. Each week, the top vote-earner receives a prize from MINI, like a MINI Picnic Seat Set for a MINI Countryman. Contestants who act on their feelings of wanderlust and document a real-life adventure enter themselves for a chance to win the grand prize; a new MINI Countryman.
MINI is attempting to brand their four-wheel-drive Countryman as a vehicle for the youthful, spontaneous explorer (or at least those who wish to be youthful and spontaneous). According to MINI, “Wanderlust is about escaping the day-to-day and celebrating freedom from the mundane.” If nothing else, MINI’s Wanderlust Map can provide us casual on-lookers with some interesting vacation plans!
