Rumors have been circling in popular automotive blogs that the MINI Coupe and MINI Roadster may be replaced in the future as MINI plans to restructure their vehicle offerings.
The two sport-minded models have not met MINI expectations, under performing in sales due to what critics site as an overall lack of enthusiasm for the zippy two-seaters. Both the Roadster and Coupe were met with skepticism when they were first unveiled by MINI, in large part because of their drastic styling that marked a serious departure from the iconic MINI hatchback. Questions as to whether or not the Coupe and Roadster were accurate representation of the MINI brand appear to have been answered, as the cars have floundered in U.S. market. No official word has been released, but we hear that MINI plans to introduce a brand new set of sporting vehicles by early 2016.
