MINI and Dairy Queen have teamed up to promote a series of social media marketing events throughout the United States.
Melissa Messinger of Sarasota, Florida was the first to win a new, blue MINI Countryman after a recent trip to her local Dairy Queen. The prize was part of Dairy Queen’s Mini Blizzard Giveaway, which awarded MINI Countryman cars to customers who purchased a Mini Blizzard ice cream. Two other fortunate Florida residents have received MINI cars as prizes, intended to create buzz around Dairy Queen’s social media channels and their new MINI Blizzard Treatment Sweepstakes.
The iconic ice cream company is currently accepting videos featuring contestants conjuring up exciting ways to present Mini Blizzard ice cream (hence the “Blizzard Treatment” moniker). To get things started, Dairy Queen has been circulating some of their own creative videos in hopes of inspiring participants (See Below).
Dairy Queen will review video submissions and select 24 finalists evaluating creativity, originality, fit to the theme and overall appeal. The six MINI Countryman winners will be voted on by the public. Entry to the contest is open to all U.S. residents above the age of 18. The contest closes on April 30th, 2011.
