The last original Mini Cooper sold in Scotland is due to be auctioned off in the upcoming weeks.
The Mini is purported to have covered less than 200 miles in its lifetime, being kept in storage on the islands of Orkney for 12 years before being sold to its current owner. It is surely one of the last original Minis ever built, and with such low mileage is a truly great find for collectors and fans of the marque.
The vehicle is expected to sell for upwards of 16,000 UK pounds when it goes up on the block at Classic Car Auctions next month.
Original Mini Coopers were sold up until 2000 when the new BMW-built model took over. At the time, Mini’s were being built by Rover, which was owned by BMW.
