The MINI Cooper seems to be a popular prize used to award winners of raffles, silent auctions and contests of all kinds. Most recently, a new, 2013 MINI Cooper Roadster was given to the winner of the Busch Gardens Verbolten First Birthday Giveaway.
The Verbolten is a thrilling roller coaster known for its horizontal track drop with an 88 foot plummet - the first of its kind anywhere. The coaster is one of the main attraction at the Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA, and its popularity inspired the idea to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Verbolten with an exciting contest. The MINI Cooper Roadster was awarded to April Goodman of Maryland, who quickly announced that the license plates on her new vehicle would read “Verbolten.”
The Verbolten First Birthday Giveaway was open to participants in Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. April was one of 15 finalists and also received a Coca-Cola gift package.
