MINI Cooper Canyon To Compete Against Range Rover Evoque?

The British press is reporting that an upscale, three-door version of the Countryman, called the Canyon, is on its way...

Not much is known about the Canyon yet except that it will have just two seats and be shorter than the Countryman and possibly become available as early as 2012.

However, if they’re serious about competing against Land Rover’s sleek new Range Rover Evoque, they’d better go upscale with it. Way upscale. It will most likely sport the John Cooper Works engine and will have every luxury BMW can come up with.
