Actually, during the course of the Mondial de l'Automobile 2008 in Paris this October, the BMW Group sped away with two prizes, as the BMW 5 Series was also awarded Most Appealing Midsize Premium Car in J.D. Power and Associates Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study (APEAL). The study determines how satisfied customers purchasing new cars in North America are three months on average after initial registration of their vehicles.
J.D. Power collects marketing information on automobiles all over the world. And they really do their homework. For determining the customer satisfaction index in Germany alone they collected 20,000 written surveys from recent customers who had been driving their cars for two years. They look for quality, desirability, reliability, satisfaction with dealer service and maintenance costs.
Obviously, winning one of these says a lot about your car. Motor on!
