Stars Wars had R2D2, now Citroen has the DS3 R3... but it's not as cute and nowhere near as original.

“I can’t tell you anything for certain,” an inside source told PistonHeads.com. “But let’s just say that Citroen is seriously researching the possibility of a more powerful version of the DS3.”

You think? Currently, it zips to 100km/h in a thrill-numbing 7.3 seconds. This from a sporty looking tiny two door with a complementary colored floating roof. Sound familiar? (Except for the slow performance part?) A new 1.6 liter turbo gas engine is currently in the works, co-developed by BMW and PSA Peugeot Citroen, but what about the go-kart handling? This obvious MINI fighter is expected to hit the European market sometime in 2011, but not here in the States. Thanks anyway. We are quite happy with the MINI.
