News > MINI Cooper Sales – and Accolades Continue…
For the fourth consecutive year, MINI Cooper has come out on top in Strategic Vision’s 2004 Total Value Index, with a score of 800. The second-highest scorer? The MINI Cooper Convertible. This, from a survey of 69,000 new vehicle owners, a solid test group, to be sure.
And the good folks at Kelley Blue Book awarded the MINI three honors in their annual “Best Resale Value” Awards. The MINI was named “Best Brand” – tied with BMW (go figure!), and the MINI Cooper was also bestowed with both “Best Resale Value” in the hatchback category and a top 10 winner overall.
Sales of the MINI are keeping pace, with over 159,000 units sold worldwide through September of 2005. Looks like the company’s goal of 200,000 units sold by year-end is not out of reach. And as far as the new models go, over 1,600 orders have already been placed – double the expected number. This, for the MINI Cooper S Checkmate, MINI One Seven and MINI Cooper Park Lane.
So long as MINI dealers can maintain their supply of new vehicles to sell, everything should be just fine in 2006.
