....But the getaway was one tough drive. That’s the logline for The Italian Job Stunt Track at Paramount’s King’s Island Amusement Park in Ohio. This is a new state-of-the-art thrill ride using a multiple LIM (Linear Induction Motor) launch circuit that boasts the equivalent of 1,500 HP!

The design includes several Boost Zones throughout the ride that propels the MINI train by a LIM jump. To further intensify the ride experience, each car features a power slide effect, simulating fishtailing through track curves and driving sequences. And then there’s the audio: powerful subwoofers and tactile transducers coupled to each seat are activated by magnets to which the on-board inductive sensors respond at various points in the ride experience.

Blessed by BMW, each vehicle on the train is a 3/4 scale MINI Cooper S, with real MINI head and tail lights. Check it out on www.pki.com.
